Baby Steps

Phil has to just initial a few pages and add a signature, then we have a signed contract for the sale of our "work house". That takes us by baby steps (or in this case it is a huge baby step) closer to retirement. We will move into an apartment for the next 9 months and keep our fingers crossed that the cottage finally sells. Then - off we go! So, I need you to keep your fingers crossed that this step is an easy one.

Deep breath - and pack, pack, pack!

Wedding Plans

I have not blogged for a while, but wanted to let you know of the wedding plans for Andy and Annie. They have a website, which I have attached or you can click on the title of this post to get to the website as well.

So, June 30 is the date at Cave B Inn and Spa in Washington. This is going to be quite the trip!

Kids are nervous now!

Yup, the kids got their copies of the book and are looking at it with trepidation. Do I read it or not? If I read it, will it scar me forever? Will I decide to disown my parents? Choices, choices, choices.

And after all we put up with from them ~~~~~

Book deal

We got our book of letters we had published in the mail today. Awwesome. Phil is sitting right now reading about some of our adventures - actually how to cook curried shrimp for his parents. Do you put the currie in before or after you cook the shrimp? Mundane stuff, but interesting for US to read. The rest of you probably would find it totally boring!

Whew!

Project done!!! We have successfully published our book. I have ordered 3 copies - one for us and the kids - and will see just what it looks like. I am somewhat concerned regarding the photos, but we will see how they turn out. If I need to modify them for the reading public, I can do that in an update. But for now, "A Long Distance Love Affair" is going to print!! You can purchase it through Lulu.com, I think. $24.99 is the cost!!!!!!
