Phil is now sprawled out in his chair, eyes closed, mouth agape, and I thought I would take this brief moment to update the blog and let you see what we have in store for us this week.
Yes, we are off to Dallas on Thursday to see out little bathing beauty. Emma has a ballet recital on Saturday, so of course we can't miss that! As per our usual, we will fly down on Thursday and then fly back on Sunday. This will be our opportunity to kick back for a couple days, and relax from all this remodeling.
Andy comes in on the next Thursday, so Phil will pick him up at O'Hare, come get me at work, and then we will head to the cottage for a couple days, picking up Grandma along the way. Yes, there are work plans for that weekend too, but not too bad. Replace the steps coming down from the driveway, get the boat, and then fun arrives. Hopefully it will be nice and we can go boating, dinner out with Norb and Karyl, and then celebrate Norb's birthday. Back to the rat race on Sunday, and getting Andy to O'Hare in time for his flight to Champaign. Maybe by the time we see him Andy will be able to tell us if he can add Senator to his list of credentials (Doctor, Professor, etc.) His department chair wants him on the faculty senate, which will just re-affirm his position at the University. Good for him. But, hey, time to come down to earth and help his feeble parents with some chores, right?
Anyways, as you can see, we continue to keep busy. Have a great holiday if I don't talk to you before then! We are just going to enjoy family and our new bedroom. I'll get some pictures one of these days and post them.
