Potty training weekend

Wish Mike and Stacy luck! This weekend is the start of hard core potty training. Emma has to be potty trained by the time she starts school in the fall. She could care less ~~~~~~~~~ . Too easy to just play and pee at the same time, right?? Takes less time and after all, aren't we all suppossed to multi-task anyway?

We got a call yesterday that she had JUST pee-peed (is there a hyphen in pee-pee?) on the potty. So, of course they wanted to make a big deal out of it. They were doing all big girl stuff yesterday to enforce the FUN you could have when you are a big girl - fingernail polish, makeup (I think I heard BLUE lipstick - or blue something). And to think all we had to do was tell the guys to go pee on that tree over there! Well, actually there was more to it than that. Poor Mike just couldn't stay dry at night, so Phil made an electronic device that when wet would buzz quite loudly and was very annoying to the recipient. It was formally called "The Zapper", but never officiallly "zapped" anyone. Yes, I admit we did it, but it worked, no one got hurt, less laundry to do, and Mike, even now at the age of 31 is still dry at night. Must have made some kind of influence on him, right??

OK, enough of potty jokes, bottom line is this:

GOOD LUCK EMMA!!

I was permanently scarred emotionally by this 'nifty invention' you mentioned. I'm surprised I was able to 'pee-pee' anywhere fearing I'd set off that damn buzzer! Good luck Emma! May you be spared from such crafty inventions!

Um, Jen, may I make a mention that YOU are also dry at night at the age of 31. So, despite the fact that your parents also scarred you for life, it seems to have stuck!!!! Love ya lots and lots!!!

The Zapper! Wowo I forgot about that thing; it was truly horrendous. I always thought it was Dad putting us through one of those fire drills...
