At long last, we are putting up woodwork in our living room. We have thought, calculated, pondered, procrastinated, purchased, and now are finally taking ACTION.
We are planning on putting up crown molding in the living room and also building bookcases around the front window, above it, and a window seat below the window. The room has been painted for 6+ months, but at last we are in construction season.
The wood is now stained, varnished, and ready to go up. Phil gets to use all of his new power tools, which is grand. We are going to use corner pieces, which will make the crown molding much easier to install, even though he has a new miter saw. This just makes the job easier and quicker, with less of the !@#$@#! that happens during Becker projects.
I have attached pictures of the staining process, and the first pieces of wood being applied. We will let you know when it is all done.
